Our Approach
At Mindful in Art, we believe emotional understanding is the foundation of confident, curious, lifelong learners. I’m Lindsey Groves, an artist, educator, and mother with over 11 years’ experience. I’m dedicated to helping children build the emotional literacy they need to recognise, express, and regulate their feelings.
Art and design provide a gentle, accessible way into this work. Creativity creates space for children to slow down, experiment, and discover that there’s no single “right” way to learn or make. With a background in Fine Art and a PGCE in Design Technology, I use structured creative tasks to support self-awareness, regulation, and growing confidence.
Guided by trauma-informed principles, my focus is on safety, choice, and connection. Children learn practical tools they can use in the classroom, at home, and beyond. Helping them feel more grounded, capable, and ready to learn.
Our Focus Areas
Our team is experienced in providing support for children facing various emotional challenges, using creative art and design as a therapeutic tool to promote healing and growth.
"Teaching emotional literacy through creative exploration helps children recognise their feelings, practise regulation strategies, and grow in confidence and resilience".
